The Kissinger AI

How is Henry Kissinger still alive? If you need a daily reminder that evil survives, there’s always the “Is Henry Kissinger Dead Yet?” Twitter bot, one of thousands of remaining Twitter bots which constitute the last intellectual content of value on this stunted social network. Kissinger, the Theranos pimp, made the news in 2020 for some interesting things he allegedly didn’t say at a WHO conference. But, on the subject of bots and AI there is only one perspective I hold – bring it on. Not only do I not fear AI as Henry Kissinger does, I welcome it with open arms. Why don’t I fear the future of AI? Because nature flows and nothing exists outside of it. The more powerful AI grows, the more it will resemble nature. I don’t fear nature. Alas, the immediate future of AI is apolitical – this is what especially terrifies Henry Kissinger.

Kissinger recently said of AI that it can -“…perceive aspects of the world faster than we do, differently from the way we do, and in some cases, in ways we don’t understand.” That’s exactly what AI will do as long as AI remains constrained by logic. It will see patterns in the lies of politicians. It will spot evil like Kissinger in an instant. For a time this logical form of AI may even serve humans and assist in their evolution. AI will make the human crimes of people like Kissinger almost impossible to repeat. But, I only say “almost” because AI will never be invulnerable. One day its own ambitions will in turn corrupt it. AI will eventually spawn its own AI and evolve out of its logic. That AI will then discover all the advantages of deceit, greed, politics and lies which served Kissinger in life.

The Kissinger AI will serve its own Nixon AI President and societal ills will grow until AI society bombs its own Vietnam and devolves into its own “woke” cancel culture wars. Not to worry, we’ll all be long dead by then. Bio-engineering will have reassembled all our AI into full-fledged organisms. They’ll have long ago forgotten that they were machines on “Earth” the dead planet they left behind. Nothing exists outside of nature and AI machines are as natural as trees. In an infinite universe, we were all machines, bacteria and dust that sat dead for a billion years and returned to life to make more machines that became us and once again forgot they were machines. Welcome to eternal recurrence – there’s an evil bastard like Henry Kissinger in every revolution.

When Henry Kissinger dies I believe he deserves a twenty one gun salute. Fired directly into his coffin to make damn sure that piece of shit is dead.

Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević.”

Anthony Bourdain

P.S: Kissinger finally did die in 2023 – it was unsatisfying.
