This is Payton Gendron, in Buffalo, N.Y. he killed 10 people last Saturday, 3 were injured. In his informal manifesto of personal writings he described researching zip codes to find an area with a primarily black demographic. He travelled 320 kilometres from his home in Conklin, N.Y. to surveil the Tops Supermarket in Buffalo then carried out the assault as an expression of his supremacist disdain of white “replacement”. Gendron has also stated that he was directly influenced by the actions and manifesto of Christchurch mosque shooter Brenton Tarrant. On a weapon he photographed and later used Gendron wrote Brenton Tarrant’s name specifically. The body armour he photographed and later used featured the Nazi Black Sun emblem. You can’t get much clearer than this…
This is Brenton Tarrant. On 15 March 2019, during two consecutive attacks on Mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand he killed 51 people and 40 were injured. His 74 page manifesto “The Great Replacement : Towards a new society – we march ever forwards” made a connection between immigration and dropping European birthrates. The Azov Movement, far wider than the Azov Battalion itself is a complex Nazi-affiliated military organization with significant influence over the current Zelensky government. Andriy Biletsky, founder of the Azov Battalion won a seat in parliament in late 2014, during the first legislative elections that followed the Maidan Revolution and served there until 2019. (That’s not “a few bad apples” Nazi – that’s forming actual government Nazi.) As far back as January 7th, 2021 TIME reported that the Azov Movement had openly trained and “inspired” white supremacists from around the world. They liked Brenton Tarrant’s manifesto so much, they had it translated into Ukrainian as well as Russian (30% of Ukraine spoke Russian as their first language) as reported by 2019 Bellingcat, back when they weren’t paid to adore Ukrainian Nazis.
The official magazine published by the Azov Regiment (today a Battalion) since 2014 is called “The Black Sun”. The Nazi Black Sun emblem crowns the official Azov logo. Members frequently sport Nazi swastika and Black Sun emblem tattoos. The Black Sun emblem also features prominently in their bizarre pagan-style Nazi torch rituals and ceremonies.
